“The Last Night Inn” presents four intercutting stories that have as a common center the fact that they all take place on the same night, at the same crappy LA motel, and the fact that they all deal with desperation and death.
The Last Night Inn, follows an assortment of characters who inhabit the fringes of society and share the dubious distinction of checking into the Last Night Inn. There are the low level mobsters who find themselves scrambling to save their lives when there plan to win favor with their boss backfires. There the two lost souls who make a desperate attempt to correct the sins of the past (or do they). The troubled Man, who finds himself at the end of his rope only to discover that fate sometimes has it’s own plan. And a Man and a Girl, who seek revenge for the damage done to them.
About the Last Night Inn
After countless sleepless nights of pre-production, The Last Night Inn was shoot in a record time of 12 production days. This was only possible thanks to everyone's commitment and passion towards the project.
Our cast was absolutely amazing! Everyone was a team player, arriving on time, coming prepared and always with a smile and the most positive attitude. We couldn't have asked for a better cast and crew.
Shooting a feature film in 12 days is not an easy task; it was only possible thanks to our wonderful cast and crew who was on top of it, and of course, it didn't hurt that we built all our sets at Glix Studios' Sound Stage which allowed us to pre-light and leave equipment overnight saving some valuable production time.
Special thanks to our Director of Photography, Gonzalo Digenio, who never made us wait for a single set up! He is quick on his feet, knows what he wants and how to achieve it in record time without compromising quality or having to cut shots. He understands storytelling and knows how to bring the Director's vision to life.
Developing and producing a film with low budget (or no budget in this case) is very, very challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Seeing everyone's passion reflected on the set and on the screen, having a team working as a unit and seeing all the pieces come together is simply priceless. Wouldn't trade it for the world!
